SRT vs VTT
Both are plain-text subtitle formats. WebVTT starts with a WEBVTT line and uses a full stop before milliseconds (00:01:02.500), while SRT numbers each line and uses a comma (00:01:02,500). HTML5 <track> elements need VTT; most desktop players and editors prefer SRT.
